1.What we need from you
You provide
- Valid passport original for inspection; copies must be certified
- Employment contract or employer confirmation (single permit: labour office confirms directly to the police) with us the employer must report the vacancy in time
- Proof of housing (as for the first application) not older than 90 days; signatures notarised
- State fee 140 € (90 € elektronicky) + €10 card with us cheaper electronically (in brackets); children under 18 pay no fee
- Power of attorney for migrant.sk with us our template; signature certified (or signed at the foreign police)
- File no later than the last day of validity, ideally 90 days ahead with us the expiry guard reminds you
Where clients most often fail: housing and finances
- Housing: you need a notarised declaration by ALL owners, or a notarised lease in your name. A plain lease without certified signatures is not enough. At least 6 months.
- Finances: a bank confirmation of the balance on an account in your name. The amount is 12× the subsistence minimum (from 1 Jul 2026 €3,542.64 in total); for business an extra separate business account. Not older than 90 days.
- Every document issued abroad needs an apostille (or superlegalisation) and a certified Slovak translation. Translate after the apostille.
- No document may be older than 90 days on the filing day (except marriage and birth certificates).
